URL Shortening

Dear Nickola.
I was wondering if it would be possible to implement URL shortening as I am sending appointment reminders via SMS and they are quite long so the SMS charges are higher than expected. I know there are URL shortening plugins available so maybe its a relatively easy fix of calling bitly for the short URL rather than directly pasting the full URL into the body of the message that is being sent. I'm sure I am not the only user who would find this extremely useful so any feedback or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi David,
Google provide API so it can be part of Extension plugin. But it will require some extra work for that. If you want I can expose callbacks for that so you can add custom code for it.
