Hi Matt, yes of course. You want to know how slot time and duration are working together. So first of all services need to have duration all of them.
Example 1 if you set duration 60 minutes and slot step 60 minutes and have connection that is from 08-12h then you would have slots like this :
slot 1: 08-09 slot 2: 09-10 slot 3: 10-11 slot 4: 11-12
so customer can book only on full hour.
Example 2 if you have same duration 60 minutes and slot step 20 minutes and connection that is from 08-12h in that case it will look like this.
slot 1: 08:00-09:00 slot 2: 08:20-09:20 slot 3: 08:40-09:40 slot 4: 09:00-10:00 slot 5: 09:20-10:20 slot 6: 09:40-10:40 slot 7: 10:00-11:00 slot 8: 10:20-11:20 slot 9: 10:40-11:40 slot10: 11:00-12:00
so your customer can book on each 20 minutes interval. But if someone book for example from 08:40-09:40 it will make a gap that can’t be filled (08:00-08:40) because it is less then service duration.
Also keep in mind that one connection is one time slot. So if you have four same connections that will result as 4 time slots at same time.
