Blocking out special dates

I have set up connections for a basic service which should be available most of the time.  Some dates, however, need to be blocked for this service when we host a special event on the property.   How can I block out the day for the "regular" service when we have a special event going on?   Thanks for your help!

Hi, you can create a new connections with same settings and set it to "Is working" to no. For instance you want to block particular day in next month etc. Best regards, Nikola

Nikola,

I guess I’m not understanding. I tried to clone the current connection and then set the date I wanted to block on the cloned connection and “working” to NO. The times for the date I tried to block are still coming up as available.

What am I missing? Sorry I’m not catching on.

Nikola - I don't know why or how you can say this question is answered when the very general guidance you gave me did not help, and I replied letting you know that I still do not understand.  Your answers before I bought the 2 year support package were better than what I'm getting now that you have my money.  I don't think this is how it should work. Please reply with more specific information on how to block out a date.  I need to do this for several dates each month and can't start using your plugin until I have the ability to block out the dates I will not be accepting appointments. Thank you.

Hi,   sorry for that one. One connection is one time slot. So for example if you have two connections for same service and worker then you will need to have two connection that are set to not working.   Best regards, Nikola

I am looking onto the same question. I have set up 5 time slots daily for 4 services for the next two months. But I want to block two single days because of other duties. What is the most efficient way to do that? Do I have to copy 20 time slots for each of the specific dates and set them to not working? Wouldn't that only add time slots which then are not availabe and the original ones are still available? It seems this happened to SiteCrafter. However, blocking singular days and time slots is heavily needed in any appointment based business. You need to go to the doctor, you have errands for your business etc. So we need a simple solution to just click time slots on a matrix in order to block them. Since you have this amazing setup with time slots per place and per worker this might be complicated because some dropdowns have to be added. But it would definitely improve the plugin by far.

Hi, best solution for that now is to use bulk add connections. You can create at once those 20 connections that will block those two days. Or you can book those two days with dummy appointments. I will have to see how to simplify things there. Best regards, Nikola

Hi Nikola, Creating connections which are not available only works when I take out the other ones. Otherwise I have 20 parallel slots: the originally open slots and those added slots which are not available. Or did I misunderstand your idea? Dummy appointments is what I am looking into. I use two parallel calendars, one with the real appointments and one with preoccupied time slots. But it seems the synchronization does not work correctly.

One connection is one slot. If you create one connection that is set to not working then it will take one open slot down for that connection. For example if you have 3 connections and 2 opposite connection then you will have only one free slot. Best regards, Nikola

Hi Nikola,   I\'m new to your calender but have set it all up - I\'m having the same problem as above and not understanding how to block out days that I would normally work - have you come up with an easier solution yet?   Thank you
