Cancellation URL in email only works when logged in

Hi, If I add the cancel link into the email that the user receives on confirmation, with two step authorisation enabled when the click on it and then the "Yes, I want to Cancel appointment" button on the page that is opened they get the following error: "Error: Sorry there was an error. Please be sure JavaScript and Cookies are enabled in your browser and try again." This error is a red herring as both are enabled, the actual cause seems to be that they can’t use it unless they are logged into the site (same for admins using the confirm / cancel links in the admin emails when not logged in). Our club members don't need a site login so only the admins have one, therefore at present if someone wants to cancel they have to let one of the admins know who then logs in and cancels it for them. Is there a way for the cancel link to work without a login to the site? Perhaps a setting that allows non-logged in links to work? Thanks for any help, Richard

Hi Richard, cancel url should work without being logged in. There must be something else in that case. Best regards, Nikola

Thanks, took a guess at what might have caused it after you said that and it turned out to be the wp-spamshield plugin that I’d been running for years and has been removed from the plugin directory for a while. As it hasn’t been updated for a couple of years as i then discovered I have uninstalled and replaced it with another plugin. Now the links work.

Just thought I’d feedback in case anyone else was experiencing something similar.
