Persistent 5min cant syncn problem

Hi everybody, I have the Issue that EA wont sync with the g-calendar anymore. Have deleted/removed almost everything still not syncing. I have researched this issue and found that it has been around for a couple of years now.   Request: Can you please
  1. Improve the Debug-Message from "Unforeseen incidents" cant sync because Minimum Duration is less than 5 min to a more descriptive error-message so we can have a better chance of debugging it.
  2. Implement a "Ignore Issue and Sync the rest anyways" button because right now the App just "stopped" syncing which is worse than dont having the app at all because now, clients could double-book timeslots which needs manual reconsiliation which is a nightmare.
Would love to hear from you. If you need more debug-information, I can send you logincredentials for a debug-user to my instance. Thanks in advance, Jan

Hi Nikola,

unfortunately, I cant get any futher debugging information on the problem as the system provides none. I dont have a problem with Items that have a duration of less than 5 minutes(?) however, I dont have such appointments in my calendar. Maybe the error-message rather points to deleted or erroneous easy!Appointments-Entries that have a duration of 0min which is less than 5min? I cant tell from the error-Message.
What I can say is that the Google-Sync worked for a couple of days a while back and it started complaining about this 5-min-Duration error with no further debug information or apparent way on how to resolve the issue.
Maybe if I have Google-Calendar-Entries that are sceduled for “all-day” these are incorrectly accounted for as duration 0 because they dont have start- and stop-timestamps?

Would be great if you could look into the issues. If you contact me directly, I can create a User for you into the system so you could take a look around.

Greetings and thanks in advance,
Jan

Hi, atm we don’t support whole days events. They need to have start-end time. Try adding one event from 00:00-23:59 for testing.

Best regards,
Nikola

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately whole day events are a common thing and I cant purge my google-calendar of every whole day event. Could you add a “detection” for these type of events. If you find an event that has no value for start-timestamp and no ending-timestamp just assume that its a whole day event, this could even be a setting that could be active or deactivated based on your clients needs.
Currently this is preventing me form using your software and we put effort into including it on our homepage.
Would really love to have this working. Is there a way that I could contribute to the project? What language/framework is it based on?
